TICKLED PINK – CC045
Description
USAGE
The Cafe Color range offers endless possibilities for ceramic art. Whether you’re aiming for full coverage or a delicate translucent effect, these versatile underglazes deliver outstanding results. An exceptional feature of the Cafe Color range is the ability to be dipped into a clear glaze without the need to fire the color first on bisque.
In the case of decorative ware, no clear glaze is required to obtain a satin finish.
With a wide palette of 60 colors, the potential for creativity is boundless. Furthermore, these colors can be intermixed, allowing artists to create an infinite spectrum of shades. It’s no wonder that PYOP studios and schools are increasingly embracing the Cafe Color range for their user-friendly nature and stunning variety.
APPLICATION
When using these colors, an appropriately sized soft-bristled brush will ensure precise detailing, while a larger brush will minimize streakiness and provide an even application for larger areas.
In addition to brush application, the range is also suitable for sponging and stippling techniques, allowing for creative flexibility. With a single coat, the colors are essentially transparent but applying 2 or 3 generous coats in a crosshatch manner can achieve the desired opacity.
These colors are designed for easy use directly from the bottle, and for added flexibility, clean water can be added to achieve alternate finishes or adjust spraying consistency.
PHYSICAL DATA
The Café Color range is for application to low-fired earthenware clay that has been bisque fired to between cone 04 (1,060°C) and cone 03 (1,101°C), then glaze fired to between cone 06 (999°C) and cone 04 (1,060°C) using a suitable glaze.
