Description
Sample fired to 1200C
This chemical is used as a major colourant to produce greens, turquoise and copper reds.
For producing turquoise in alkaline glazes and copper reds in reduction glazes the carbonate form is usually preferred to the oxide due to its finer particle size. Copper oxide can be used as a substitute if the amount is reduced by half.
